Today (August 07, 2026) the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (MUR) has announced the official number of seats that will be available for EU and Non-EU students who wish to study medicine, dentistry or veterinary in Italy in English. In this article we have summarised the number of seats for private medical schools, public medical schools, veterinary schools and dentistry schools that offer courses in English.

New Medicine in English Courses in 2026
In 2026 there have been many changes to the number of seats and number of UNIVERSITIES that will now offer English courses. We are currently researching each of these universities to hopefully provide you with more in-depth information.Â
- Florence is awaiting accreditation for a brand new course for the first time. This university has been rumoured for years about opening an English course.
- Neuromed Pozzili which is located in Isernia, Molise (south central Italy) has also applied for accreditation, but information is extremely limited. It does not seem they had any sort of Medicine course in the past including in the Italian language.
- Padova has applied for accreditation of offering a MEDTECH course in English although the official decrees do not yet specify if it will also be located in Venice like it’s medicine in English course.Â
