Please recall that Universitaly.it pre-enrolment is required for all study visa purposes for all university courses in Italy, including medicine and dentistry in English (IMAT). Only non-EU students must complete pre-enrolment. Please see Federico II’s pre-enrolment guide for the specific required documents for its courses.

The AcadIMAT Team recommends completing the pre-enrolment tapplication TODAY if Fed II is your first-choice university as a non-EU student, as it unclear whether Federico II will extend the deadline for medicine in English students.

In previous years, the pre-enrolment deadlines for University of Naples Federico II were not this early. Below are the pre-enrolment deadlines for the past several years for Federico II:

2024: 21 June

2023: 15 June

2022: 15 July

2021: 25 July

As you can see, the 31 May 2025 deadline is atypical and quite early even for Federico II. The same is for most universities: most pre-enrolment deadlines occur starting June and beyond. While some universities announce one, unified pre-enrolment deadline for all of its study courses, others determine separate deadlines for each of its programs. In fact, some universities do not set a deadline at all. Many universities wait for the annual MUR decreti before setting a pre-enrolment deadline for medicine in English.
